Also known as "spring rolls," runbing is a time-honored traditional snack from the Minnan region and Taiwan. Every year during the Qingming season, families gather together to wrap and roll runbing side by side — creating some of the warmest family memories and passing down a treasured culinary tradition from one generation to the next.In this course, children will explore the historical origins and fascinating legends surrounding runbing, discover the different regional variations and signature ingredients found across different areas, and gain an appreciation for the rich cultural significance behind this beloved traditional food. At the end of the course, each child will wrap their very own runbing by hand — and through the process of laying out the fillings and rolling everything together, experience the warmth and charm of traditional food culture, savoring every bite of this time-honored flavor that carries within it both history and heartfelt memory!
