The lion mask is the soul of the lion dance — every color and pattern carries deep cultural symbolism rooted in centuries of Chinese tradition. In this course, students will learn about the history and cultural significance of the lion head, then design and paint their very own lion mask. By weaving traditional auspicious motifs into their own artistic vision, each student creates a one-of-a-kind piece that connects personal expression with cultural heritage.
