Chinese Traditional Festival - Lantern Festival (Yuan Xiao Festival)The Lantern Festival, also known as the "Festival of the First Full Moon" or "Yuan Xiao Festival," is a vibrant and colorful celebration, marking the final day of the Chinese New Year. After this day, everything returns to normal routines, which is why there are various enthusiastic and festive celebrations. Even in modern times, it remains a lively and jubilant festival celebrated by all people.The course will introduce the historical origins and development of the Lantern Festival, help students understand the different customs and traditions celebrated across regions, and introduce traditional festival foods. At the same time, students will learn about Taiwan's unique festive activities known as "Lanterns in the North and Firecrackers in the South," and experience firsthand the charm of traditional culture.Students will happily create delicious "Yuan Xiao" (glutinous rice balls) together, experience creative tear-and-paste lantern making, and feel the warmth and cultural charm of the Lantern Festival through hands-on creation and participation.
元宵節又稱「上元節」,是一個繽紛多彩的節日,也是春節最後的一天。過完這天,一切將恢復常態,所以有各種熱烈慶祝的活動。直到現代,它還是個熱鬧滾滾,萬民歡騰的節日。本課程將介紹元宵節歷史源流,了解各地過節習俗與應節食品。同時認識台灣特殊的節慶活動「北天燈南蜂炮」,並帶領學生快樂地一起製作好吃的「元宵」及富有創意的撕畫燈籠,在動手創作中感受元宵節的溫暖與文化魅力。
